Beiersdorf's global recognition, granted through Ashoka's \u201cChangemakers United\u201d initiative, is the result of an exhaustive selection process in which the following participated <strong>80 social entrepreneurs at the global level, including 20 from Latin America<\/strong>. Melina Masnatta, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Chicas en Tecnolog\u00eda, was part of that process with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chicasentecnologia.org\/en\/the-power-of-technology-in-the-hands-of-young-women-who-want-to-improve-the-world\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">plan<\/span><\/a> created during 2020 by Chicas en Tecnolog\u00eda to reach more young people in the region, <a href=\"https:\/\/chicasentecnologia.org\/en\/girls-leaders-in-technology-a-borderless-access-to-the-technological-world\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">digitize<\/span><\/a> the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chicasentecnologia.org\/en\/programs\/\">programs<\/a><\/span> of the organization and create <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chicasentecnologia.org\/en\/protagonistasdelfuturo\/\">new<\/a><\/span> educational proposals<\/strong>. After being selected by an international jury, Melina participated in a two-month mentoring process in which she received training and accompaniment for <strong>develop funding strategies that will enable the organization to continue to create innovative, region-wide solutions to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic<\/strong>. Finally, the social entrepreneur Melina Masnatta was selected as <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A6747417168528453632\/?midToken=AQElpr5qnkbfUQ&amp;midSig=0mDW55KAWQ7pA1&amp;trk=eml-email_notification_single_mentioned_you_in_this_01-notifications-1-hero%7Ecard%7Efeed&amp;trkEmail=eml-email_notification_single_mentioned_you_in_this_01-notifications-1-hero%7Ecard%7Efeed-null-2m65a1%7Ekj147j53%7Eda-null-voyagerOffline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 of the 5 persons<\/a><\/span>, and the only one in Latin America<\/strong>, to reach the final stage and win the recognition provided by Beiersdorf, which consists of financial support to enhance the solutions generated during 2020.<\/p>\n<h3>International network<\/h3>\n<p>Beiersdorf supports<strong> with funds<\/strong> to social entrepreneurs in Africa, Asia and South America who are creating <strong>concrete solutions with a systemic scope<\/strong> through \u201cChangemakers United\u201d, an initiative of the international organization Ashoka. The global financial support program launched by Beiersdorf at the beginning of 2020 aims to <strong>to cope with the immediate but also long-term socio-economic consequences of the pandemic<\/strong>. As part of this initiative, 80 social entrepreneurs from the Ashoka network in Africa, Asia and South America received support from the company. In addition, Beiersdorf selected 5 members of the \u201cChangemakers United\u201d initiative who work for <strong>improving the lives and opportunities of adolescent girls and women<\/strong> with the objective of giving them special recognition for their vision, innovation and strategy to respond to the current situation. The chosen individuals were highlighted for the development of innovative solutions and the creation of local impact.
