Girls in Technology (CET) <\/b>launched <\/span>\u201cAction 2!\u201d<\/span><\/a>, an educational audiovisual content produced in partnership with the Escuela Plus program and the production of Ponchosauer. It is made up of nine chapters that integrate the contents of the organization's training proposals in its script and that, through key questions on the use and purpose of technology, seek to introduce Latin American adolescents and young women to this world so that they consider it as a possibility for their academic and professional future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series stars <\/span>Consuelo Lopez<\/b>, who provides in an entertaining way the keys to develop an application and reflects on the gender gap in technology.<\/span> Ti<\/span>Consu\u201c is a workshop format in which \u201dConsu\" offers tools for teenage girls to create technology with social impact, addressing topics such as problem identification, data use, prototyping and the development of a technological solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, this audiovisual content features the participation of 10 girls from the <\/span>CET Community<\/b>. Macarena, Valentina V., Florencia, Luc\u00eda, Mar\u00eda, Ashley, Lucila, Valentina H., Marian and Milagros are young graduates from different programs of the <\/span>integral training path<\/span><\/a> Thanks to them, they took their first steps in technology. Their journeys and experiences are now a source of inspiration for other teenage girls in the region to consider technological disciplines as an option for their academic and professional future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The series is available free of charge via the <\/span>web<\/span><\/a> y <\/span>Youtube channel<\/span><\/a> and is also available on DirecTV channels 804 and 1804 HD. This makes it possible to reach both schools and rural populations that have satellite signal but no internet connection, thus expanding its impact and reach.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contents that are worked on during the nine chapters are part of the free programs that Chicas en Tecnolog\u00eda makes available to young people between 13 and 23 years of age throughout Latin America. In addition, the organization works in coordination with the educational field through the development of resources, materials and training for educators to awaken vocations and expand opportunities for young people in the areas of science and technology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paula Coto<\/b>, CET's executive director, said: \u201cAt Chicas en Tecnolog\u00eda we firmly believe that every young woman has the potential to be a change-maker through technology. \u201cAction 2!\u201d not only offers practical tools to develop apps with social impact, but also inspires girls to overcome gender barriers and stereotypes in the tech arena. We are excited to see how this series will help empower more young people across Latin America, providing them with the knowledge and confidence needed to awaken vocations and leadership in technology.\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
