When technology meets opportunity

01.
A very special year

We celebrate a decade of collective work that transformed stories, opened opportunities and empowered thousands of young people in Latin America.
Ten years later, this anniversary is not a closure, but an impulse to continue building a future where more girls can lead the technological world.

Innovate, connect and accompany

Experiences that drive a new generation in technology.

The CET Community was the protagonist. Young people from all over the region met to create, learn and lead in an ecosystem of experiences designed for them. From inspirational spaces to training and mentoring programs, we combined innovation, creativity and support networks for each one to explore and build their path in technology with confidence and purpose.

With current methodologies, connection opportunities and proposals focused on their interests, we promote trajectories that integrate learning, leadership and professional futures. Because when young women have tools, community and guidance, technology becomes a bridge to transform their lives and the world they are imagining.

931 girls joined the CET Community in 2025
73 led and played a leading role in Community initiatives
2403 young people were part of all the 2025 experiences

PUMM

PUMM | Programming a Better World was once again a unique experience of collective creation. During a face-to-face day with virtual edition, young people from different regions gathered to imagine, design and prototype technological solutions with social impact, accompanied by mentors and professionals from the ecosystem.
This year, the event had a special hallmark: the girls of the CET Community were the absolute protagonists. They participated in the conduction, led talks, integrated committees in the pre-production stage and accompanied new participants, multiplying the collaborative spirit that defines this space.
In addition to the workshops and creative instances, PUMM 2025 was a point of encounter, inspiration and celebration. One of the central points was the HackaPUMM, where teams of girls worked on their projects and finally presented them before a jury of specialists, showing everything they had learned and the transformative potential of their ideas.
Among innovative proposals, shared learning and conversations that opened up new horizons, it was clear that when girls come together to plan for a better world, the future is already underway.

"I came to HackaPUMM after finishing the Cybersecurity scholarship that Chicas en Tecnología gave me the opportunity to take. There I met my group and we immediately started working on CiberForce. What I enjoyed the most was creating, building and presenting our idea. My dream is for people to get to know us before they suffer a cyber attack and learn how to protect themselves."

Community leaders' meetings: celebrating, connecting and projecting

During the year, we held two meetings of CET Community Leaders, spaces designed to empower young women, strengthen ties among them and continue building the future in community. They met in person and virtually to share experiences, learning and projects, creating a space for exchange and collective growth.
In addition, as part of the organization's 10th anniversary, we held a meeting with young people from the CET Community in Mexico City during the visit of our Executive Director Lucia Mauritzen. It was a space for celebration and connection where we shared stories, ideas and dreams that continue to drive our mission throughout the region.

IA CAMP: Exploring the Future with Creativity

We developed for the first time a four-week virtual camp designed for girls from 13 to 23 years old from all over Latin America who would like to discover and experience the world of artificial intelligence without any previous knowledge. During the month, participants freely joined workshops, talks and challenges: they created characters, images and sounds with AI; reflected on algorithm biases; designed their own AI tools; and, finally, worked on prototypes with community impact. All accompanied by mentors and industry professionals. The closing ceremony was held at the University of Palermo (Buenos Aires), where the girls presented their prototypes before a jury, putting into play everything they had learned and celebrating their creativity, conviction and capacity for innovation.

AI-assisted programming: opening doors and creating impact.

In 2025 we redesigned our programming training to incorporate artificial intelligence. We provided a hybrid proposal where young women explored web development (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and experienced how tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Visual Studio Code and GitHub can enhance learning and the creation of projects with social impact. Through collaborative work, they discovered new ways to integrate artificial intelligence into the creative process and we reaffirmed our commitment to accompany them in the current challenges: learning to program, yes, but also thinking about technology from a critical, conscious and transformative point of view.

Introduction to Data Analytics: landing in the world of data.

In a new edition of this free online course, young people between the ages of 16 and 23 took their first steps in data analysis and visualization to understand and transform their environment. Throughout the course, they learned fundamental concepts of data analysis, used data analysis tools and developed team projects linked to real social problems. Without the need for previous experience, this proposal broadened our training spectrum and reaffirmed our commitment to open opportunities for more young people to lead through knowledge, data interpretation and the responsible use of technology.

Prototyping teams: leading with purpose

In 2025, a new project demonstrated the power of youth leadership in action. A training-action initiative in which young women from the CET Community design, plan and implement initial training spaces in technology with social impact for other girls. During an intensive 10-12 week process, three teams created workshops for other young women, combining theory and practice in leadership, teamwork and project management.

Mentoring Program: growing with referents.

This year, professional women and young people from the CET Community participated in this experience that connects them in pairs to accompany their trajectories during two months of joint work. We added mentoring in English and regional meetings that strengthened the support network, bringing model roles that function as a bridge between the possible and the achievable. Each meeting addressed topics such as organization, networking, professional development and key skills, building solid support and generating references that inspire the path of the new generations of women in technology.

56 pairs of mentors and mentorees were part of this program, between the Spanish and English editions.

Peer mentoring: learning together.

For a month, young people from 16 to 23 years of age from different Latin American countries met virtually to accompany each other in their personal, academic and professional careers, thanks to this new transformative experience.
Peer mentoring is vital because it allows them to see themselves reflected in others who are experiencing similar challenges, understand their contexts and can empower each other with new possibilities. Through group meetings and in pairs, the 20 participants shared experiences, challenges and lessons learned, strengthening trust, empathetic communication and collaborative leadership.

Young IT Professionals: accompanying them into the world of work.

We carried out a new edition of the program that accompanies young people from the CET Community in their transition to the world of work through a flexible path that allowed them to choose workshops according to their interests and build their own professional path. During six meetings in partner companies' offices and asynchronous materials at the CET Campus, they explored key topics such as professional purpose, communication, emotional management, remote work, CV building and personal branding, in a collaborative space where they strengthened their skills, expanded their network and gained confidence to take their first steps in the technology sector.

Looking to the future: innovation with awareness and purpose

Technological transformation is advancing at an unprecedented speed and redefining the way we work, learn and connect. In this scenario, marked by the advance of artificial intelligence and global changes, we believe in a path where innovation coexists with a critical, conscious and gender perspective.
In 2026, we will embark on a new strategic phase and reaffirm a conviction that guides everything we do: the Community is at the center. We know that the most profound transformations are born when young women meet, are inspired and build together. Our model - girls who encourage other girls - will continue to grow in order to strengthen leadership, multiply referents and activate real support networks.
We will continue to develop and expand innovative educational methodologies that allow more young people to acquire tools and skills so that technology can be a means to respond to the problems of their communities and generate social impact. From Chicas en Tecnología we want to continue encouraging young people to be protagonists of change: creators, leaders and active voices in the construction of a more just, diverse and inclusive future.
These transformations do not happen on their own: they are built collectively. We invite you to continue accompanying us to reach more young people. You can join us as a sponsor by writing to [email protected], or make a contribution through our website to enhance our programs and promote new opportunities.

Because the future is not something we wait for: it is something we create.
