IMPACT 2024
The AmbassadorsCET decide, design and lead initiatives, turning their ideas into concrete actions that inspire other girls throughout the region. This participation reinforces our commitment to creating a community in which every young woman is listened to, valued and empowered to transform the world through technology.
The festival was supported by more than 70 public organizations, companies, civil society organizations and academic institutions from across Latin America that came together to amplify the impact and demonstrate that collaboration is the key to overcoming any challenge. For its contribution and impact, the festival received the Declaration of Interest from the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires.
Ten young people from the CET Community became the main characters of the television series Action! Season 2, which we promote from Girls in Technology together with School Plus. This new format seeks to inspire young people to join as creators of technology with social impact bringing CET content in a fun way to all schools in Latin America and the Caribbean, free of charge, through the satellite signal of Direct TV, It has an enormous permeability in rural and peri-urban contexts. It is also available on youtube for educational audiences, teenagers and the general public. A step towards expanding CET's audience and reaching the entire continent with our proposal.
This year we addressed new topics that reflect the dynamism and relevance of technology in today's society: innovation, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robotics, sustainability, data analytics, entrepreneurship, employability and the crossovers between technology and fashion, art, mental health, fake news and digital citizenship., The program provides young women with a broad vision of the possibilities offered by the digital world.99
We launched the third edition of Front-end Programming Training, in which the following participated 159 young people in contexts of vulnerability in the province of Buenos Aires developing essential skills for their professional insertion in technological areas. We also carry out the third edition of the User Experience Design (UX) Program, with the participation of 89 young people from 8 countries, We also launched the "User Centered Solutions" program, where they learned how to create user-centered solutions. In addition, we launched the first Data Training, in which the following participated 143 young people from 13 countries, adding a new key area of knowledge for young women.
This year we broke the mold with innovative formats that brought technology closer in a dynamic and accessible way. We created experiences on-site, virtual and hybrid: festivals, short and intensive training courses y personalized and localized accompaniment, We also launched our first-ever business development program, such as visits to companies and innovation centers. In addition, we launched our first escape room to learn about logical-rational thinking in a fun way, we are launching our first television series that reaches every school and home in Latin America through satellite signal, and we expanded our virtual campus with asynchronous proposals so that each young person learns at his or her own pace. We also add scholarships that open doors to new growth opportunities with certifications. These powerful initiatives transformed the way young women connect with the technological future.
Technology role models are essential to visualize a future full of possibilities in the technological field. At CET, we believe that connecting young women with role models not only allows them to imagine themselves in those roles, but also to build tools and concrete paths to achieve their goals, strengthening their confidence and projecting them towards a real impact on society.
146 professionals from various areas of technology from 19 companies joined as volunteers, sharing their knowledge and experiences to enhance the development of young women and show them that a future in technology is possible and achievable. These referents are role models that inspire from their trajectory, breaking barriers and making visible diverse paths that integrate innovation, creativity and social impact. Of these, 17 The volunteer program was accompanied by workshops on Artificial Intelligence, 21 on leadership and 22 on employability.
50 professionals joined as mentors of the 3rd Mentoring Program offering their time, experience and knowledge to provide personalized and in-depth support to 50 young people who are at a crucial stage of defining their academic and professional future.
Sizing the gender gap in technology is key to intervene effectively. At CET, we build solid evidence to make the gap visible and provide the necessary tools to design precise actions to promote the inclusion and empowerment of young women in technology.

Chicas en Tecnología will celebrate 10 years of impact, construction and transformation. This decade of work has allowed us to position ourselves as a key reference in the technological ecosystem of Latin America, consolidating us as a solid organization, creating a powerful community and nurturing a legacy of innovation. We will continue on this path by expanding opportunities for young women throughout the region through experiences that enhance their academic and professional careers in technology. With new formats, strategic alliances and a renewed commitment to inclusion, we are preparing to take another step forward in our mission to build a more diverse and equitable future where young women are the protagonists of change.
