MODEL ROLES

Technology role models are essential to visualize a future full of possibilities in the technological field. At CET, we believe that connecting young women with role models not only allows them to imagine themselves in those roles, but also to build tools and concrete paths to achieve their goals, strengthening their confidence and projecting them towards a real impact on society.

146 professionals from various areas of technology from 19 companies joined as volunteers, sharing their knowledge and experiences to enhance the development of young women and show them that a future in technology is possible and achievable. 50 professionals joined as mentors of the 3rd Mentoring Program offering their time, experience and knowledge to provide personalized and in-depth support to 50 young people who are at a crucial stage of defining their academic and professional future.

A united ecosystem

The articulation with all ecosystem actors is essential to identify opportunities, co-create strategies and respond in an agile way to the challenges we face. At CET, we build from a multi-sector approach that enhances shared work, adding complementary expertise, multiplying results and generating innovative solutions that transform realities.

+2600 teachers and managers trained in education, management and technology in the country's 24 jurisdictions. This strategy is fundamental for the transformative potential of educators in the classroom, which allows us to awaken vocations from an early age in STEM areas. We also generate pedagogical materials that we launch in an educational reservoir, videos for training and didactic guides to accompany the work of these topics in the classroom. We promote this work with UNICEF and the European Union.

We promote strategic alliances with more than 127 companies, 10 public sector entities and 10 civil society organizations, generating a transformative vision on gender gaps in the sector and redefining the use of technology with social impact. In addition, we deployed a powerful collaborative network with more than 570 organizations throughout Latin America, articulating expertise, multiplying impact and generating innovative solutions that transform realities. We participated in 20 major industry events in which we joined the conversation about the future of innovation, expanding our reach and strengthening our commitment to a more diverse and inclusive technology ecosystem. Among them, we participated in Nerdearla, EkoParty, Women Leadership Summit, Encuentro ocon entrepreneurs Tech del GCBA and the Ojo de Pescado Festival in Valparaiso (Chile), among others.

Sizing for impact

Sizing the gender gap in technology is key to intervene effectively. At CET, we build solid evidence to make the gap visible and provide the necessary tools to design precise actions to promote the inclusion and empowerment of young women in technology.

We launched “The gap that persists.”The Gender Gap: A pioneering census study on the gender gap at the university level in six Latin American countries. This research provides unprecedented data to measure the participation of women in STEM careers through the analysis of official statistics. We developed our own methodology that allows us to measure these data in a rigorous and cross-sectional manner, scale them over time, identify trends and make comparative cross-checks, generating unique indicators at the regional level.

CET's voice on the public agenda

We boosted the visibility of the issue with a multiplatform content plan based on the evidence we built, achieving 223 press appearances. This approach allowed us to amplify the message, position the gender gap in technology as a relevant issue on the public agenda, mobilize new allies and foster a crucial debate on the need for concrete and transformative solutions.
