Ten years ago, we set out on a path with a clear conviction: technology needs more voices, more perspectives and more opportunities for all young people. Since then, we have been working to broaden that participation and build a more diverse, fair and inclusive ecosystem.
Today, as we celebrate our first decade, we review the main advances achieved and present a new stage in the history of the organization.
A decade of collective construction
An expanding community
More about 17,000 young people participated in our educational and motivational proposals throughout these ten years. As a result of this work, we have consolidated a community that is present in 20 Latin American countries, This regional expansion demonstrates that there are common interests, capabilities and needs that transcend borders and can be enhanced through shared spaces. This regional expansion demonstrates that there are common interests, capabilities and needs that transcend borders and can be enhanced through shared spaces.
Experiences that open doors
We have developed more than 100 educational experiences, Our programs, both face-to-face and virtual, are aimed at awakening early vocations, strengthening technological skills and promoting meaningful learning. Our programs range from initial awareness to more in-depth training proposals, promoting trajectories that allow young people to explore the technological ecosystem from multiple approaches.
Strengthening vocations
The data show a sustained impact: the 95% of participants express interest in continuing their education in STEM areas after becoming involved in our initiatives. This indicator shows how access to safe spaces, close role models and concrete opportunities contribute to the construction of new educational and professional projections.
Alliances that amplify impact
More about 140 companies and organizations accompanied this journey. The articulations between different sectors were and are key to developing sustainable initiatives, expanding the scope of our programs and building impact projects that integrate actors from the private, educational, social and public sectors.
Teachers driving change
More about 3,700 teachers participated in our training sessions. These spaces strengthen pedagogical skills, provide tools to promote bias-free classrooms and enable the creation of educational projects that stimulate diverse participation in technology. Working with education professionals is a central component to generate sustained changes over time.
Evidence to transform the ecosystem
We publish 8 investigations The studies are aimed at understanding trends, gaps, practices and challenges of the technological ecosystem. These studies provide evidence for the design of policies, programs and actions that promote greater equity. The production and opening of knowledge was consolidated as a strategic axis of the organization throughout this decade.
An anniversary to continue projecting the future
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, we promoted a series of actions that marked the beginning of a new institutional stage:
- A network campaign with the CET Community as the protagonist, which brought together the experiences, learning and perspectives of young people from all over the region.
- A new visual identity, and closer to the young people, accompanied by a commemorative logo for 10 years.
- A new website, which reflects our mission, lines of work and the collaborative spirit that characterizes the organization in this stage of growth.
Each of these advances is the result of a joint effort between young people, teachers, organizations, companies and individuals who believe in the transformative potential of technology.
As we celebrate this first decade, we return to our mission with new challenges: to continue building opportunities for more young people to imagine, develop and lead technological solutions that transform realities throughout the region.
