During eight weeks, more than 85 young people from all over the region participated in a new edition of the AI Assisted Programming Coursea free proposal from Chicas en Tecnología to take the first steps in the world of web development.
In this space, the participants learned how to program in HTML, CSS and JavaScriptand to integrate artificial intelligence in their creative and development processes. But in addition to acquiring technical skills, they worked on collaborative teams to design and create technological projects with social impactfocused on solving real problems that affect their communities.
Mental health, environment, access to information, job search, citizen participation are some of the topics they addressed from their own perspectives, demonstrating that when girls have access to technology, use it to transform their own and other people's reality.
Throughout the course, we accompanied them with mentoring, consultation spaces and tools that strengthened their learning. This experience does not end with the graduation: they are now part of the Chicas en Tecnología communitya network that connects girls from all over Latin America interested in learning, sharing, growing and leading the future of technology with purpose.
