An ecosystem for inclusion

Girls in Technology organized the eighth Meeting with the Ecosystem, an event designed to foster the exchange of ideas and actions that promote diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.

The Ecosystem Meeting brought together CET Ambassadors with representatives from the private and public sectors, education and civil society organizations.
The presentation was given by Florencia Larocca, Ambassador and part of the CET Community, a graduate of the CET programs. Training Path, The company is currently in charge of accompanying the young women who are pursuing the technology scholarships.

“I especially thank the Ambassadors present who, like me, are graduates of the Girls in Technology programs and continue to be part of the organization through different initiatives that seek to strengthen the youth community.”, said Florencia Larocca at the beginning of the meeting.

The CET Ambassadors were part of a panel where they shared their experience in Chicas en Tecnología, as well as their career and training paths in technology.

“I came to CET looking for a community of women in technology. The programs are virtual, which allows us to be in contact with girls from other countries and provinces, who live in different realities and have different problems, and we still work together with them.” said Martina, CET Ambassador.

At the second Meeting with the 2023 Ecosystem, Paula Coto, executive director of Chicas en Tecnología, reflected on the year's events and previewed some projects and initiatives for 2024.

“We are in an increasingly complex world in which inequalities are deepening. We have the unique opportunity that the construction of our societies, using technology as a tool, allows us to approach the goals of sustainable development and find solutions for a more equitable world. But for this to happen, it is essential that technological creation involves the viewpoint of all people, and in particular, that the new generations are the protagonists of the coming changes”.”, he said Paula Coto, Executive Director of Chicas en Tecnología.

Chicas en Tecnología works together with the technological ecosystem to enhance and strengthen the impact of actions that seek to reduce the gender gap in technology and generate fairer and more inclusive societies where young women in the region can be protagonists in the development of innovative solutions to social problems.
