Girls in Technology is part of “Bonus Day”GlobalGiving, an international donation campaign, invites everyone to participate so that more and more young women who identify with the female gender in Latin America can have access to free, quality training in technology. During Wednesday, July 12, GlobalGiving, the global crowdfunding platform focused on social organizations around the world, will raise between 15% and 50% for every $100+ donation made to Chicas en Tecnología.
The areas of science and technology are the fields in which solutions to different social needs are developed. In these disciplines, less than 20% of women have leadership roles. The lack of diversity in decision-making generates biases in the design of solutions, products and services that are incorporated into our daily lives. To transform this scenario, Chicas en Tecnología works together with the technological ecosystem and generates training opportunities for teenagers and women in the region.
In the last year, 4,000 young women from 15 Latin American countries who participated in the Chicas en Tecnología programs created more than 300 technological solutions to solve problems in their communities. Join us so that more and more can be created! Make a donation here.
