UX/UI experience

Chicas en Tecnología, together with Banco Galicia, opens the registration for UX/UI experience, The company has launched a new program for women interested in starting or continuing their professional career in technology. It is a immersive proposal, free and open to women from 19 to 30 years of age., The main objective is to develop new skills in the technological world with a social impact focused on the design of the user experience and interface (UX/UI).

The program aims to reducing the gender gap in jobs related to technology and to accompany the participants so that they can complement their knowledge with practical experiences and can link their training with the technological ecosystem.

About the program

• UX/UI experience will last 2 months and will include different dynamics such as workshops and talks with industry leaders.
• Participants will develop local and global solutions to social problems through different methodologies and with the technology available to them.
• The meetings will be live through the Zoom platform and will have complementary material available on the Chicas en Tecnología digital campus.
• The program will consist of 6 divided modules, in which the participants will learn and apply theoretical and practical knowledge, tools and methodologies used in UX/UI, with a focus on social impact and gender perspective.
• The program will have a duration of 8 weeks and will end with an event where the projects developed will be shared.
• The participants will be accompanied and guided by mentors from Chicas en Tecnología and Banco Galicia, professionals with experience and knowledge in the disciplines addressed. The program, online and free of charge, is aimed at people who identify with the female gender and are interested in developing or continuing their professional career in the technological world.

Throughout the experience the participants will develop technical-technological skills, of social impact y of leadership that will enable them to engage with their community, create solutions with the technology available to them through critical thinking and creativity, and be part of a technology network and community.

Requirements for participation

Be between 19 and 30 years old as of 8/02/2021.

Residence in the City of Buenos Aires or Greater Buenos Aires.

Have access to a computer and a cell phone with internet connection.

The program requires a dedication of 5 hours per week. It is necessary to be available to attend the program on a regular basis. online to all live meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m., starting on April 15 and ending on June 10.

Have studied or be studying a university or tertiary degree such as Graphic Design, Psychology, Sociology, Social Communication, Marketing, Multimedia Design (in progress, complete or incomplete).

Intermediate/advanced level of English.

Graduates of the program will be able to rethink themselves as professionals, contribute their skills and knowledge already acquired and participate in a challenge that will allow them to enhance their profile.
